Boys, Boys, Boys

It is no secret that there are a lot of girls at Dippidee. A lot of our customers are girls. And we make a lot of girl cakes, cookies, and cupcakes. With out fail, I make at least one cake each week that has pink associated with it. I always have pink dyed hands from mixing pink fondant...LOL. This past week I did a cake for Mandy Douglas of Studio 5. She too was gearing up for a masculine themed party. Click Here to see her fun ideas and to see our awesome Chevron patterned cake. So in this post want to shout out to all of our boy customers, and share with you some really fun boys cakes I have made in the past few weeks.

Back story... Braxton and Cove are twin boys, turning 8 this year. Each year their dad comes in and orders their birthday cakes. He is always very thoughtful in what he wants for his cute boys. Last year it was cakes in the shape of basketballs. I have done lots of cute cakes for these boys. I think these jersey cakes were my favorites. What a fun idea for a boy!

I love how each cake was personalized for each boy. Their favorite team, name and age they were turning.

I love this sports theme cake. The bottom tier mimicing a football field, the bright colors, fondant balls, it is so perfect for a little guy.

I am a huge fan of Super Mario Brothers. So I was super excited to make this cute cake featuring Ba-Bombs from Super Mario Brothers. And a little secret on this cake. My cute Josh helped me make this cake. He spent the day at work with me for school, shadowing me for the day. He was so cute he made sure I got all the details on this cake perfect. Like, "Mom, you put the eyes in the wrong spot on the mushroom, they go on the bottom..." Thanks Josh!
