I want to introduce you to one of my favorite desserts, Trifle. When I was first learning to bake there would be those times when an item wouldn't turn out... all you bakers know what I am talking about. Cakes would explode, brownies would stick to the pan, cookies would resemble something other than a cookie. That is when my wise mother taught me about trifle. I now share her wisdom with you. When something fails while baking, do not fret, turn it into trifle. Trifle takes three items, a baking disaster, some ooey gooey creamy yumminess, and a sticky sweet item for your third. You can't believe how many times this wisdom has helped me. Like the time I was meeting my husband's family for the first time. I of course wanted to impress them with my amazing baking skills, so when I dropped the cake I was baking...I thought I might cry. Then mom's wise words came to me...I grabbed a glass bowl, my crumbled up cake, whipped cream, and fresh berries. Once again trifle saved me. My in-laws to this day request trifle for all of the family functions. Now I get to share trifle with all of my customers. If you haven't tried it, you will fall in love with all of the rich yummy flavor combinations we have to offer. If you have tried it, well you already know. This week mention the blog and get our trifle for just $2.99/ea. It is definitely a dessert you can share, or eat some now and a little later, and finish it off for breakfast. Hope to see you all soon. Marcee Kitchen - Owner, Dippidee
